Fretwork Catalog:

Here you will find the fretwork patterns I currently have at my disposal. The vast majority of these were created by other artists, some well known while others are not. Credit is given when I can identify the artist. If you own the copyright to a pattern shown here and object to having it displayed, let me know and I'll remove it. Converting all my patterns for display on the Web will take a bit of time. I have some 12 categories to convert so I hope you'll check back once in awhile to see my progress.

All patterns are protected by international copyright laws. Pattern images are displayed as a small image to assist in preventing unwanted copying. To see a larger image, move your mouse cursor over the smaller image.

If you don't see anything you like, send me an email with a description of your vision and I'll try to find a suitable pattern.

Free Stuff!

The following patterns/fonts are offered freely. If you would like to make a donation it is most appreciated.

Free Pattern - Victorian Mirror Frame
The small image shows the  frame detail. To conserve space and bandwidth, the assembly image and pattern are included in this zip file (72k). Right click here and Save Target As...

Free Font- This is a template font for deskset nameplates. The lower case letters with descenders are positioned above the "zero" line and the "i" and "j" dots connected to the letters. Both a regular and an italic font are included in this zip file (28k). Only those glyphs shown at the left are included in the fonts. [Update: I've added a shield symbol accessed using the # and a heart symbol accessed via the $ and an apostrophe symbol.] The font name you'll see in Windows is either "Deskset" or "Deskseti". Right click here and Save Target As. To install the font, extract both font files to any folder of choice except Windows/fonts. Now select the fonts and copy them to your Windows/fonts folder.

Here's a font suitable for generating word art. Follow instructions as above for the free WordArt.ttf font (18kbytes). This font only contains the glyphs (characters) shown.
